You do not instantiate assist objects yourself: one will be instantiated for you whenever you obtain a gnss-session object by calling hardware.gnss.open().
Each gnss-session object has an assist property which has member methods for uploading assist (ephemeris) data to the cellular modem’s GNSS sub-system, enabling its use, reading it back and, if necessary, deleting it from the GNSS sub-system.
